About:
Welcome! I started Real LLC because there is a need for more therapists who are ADHD-informed. I am also an individual therapist with additional areas of focus including sleep disorders and anxiety disorders. I provide research-based short and medium-term therapies with a goal of supporting my clients to obtain lasting, tangible change. These therapies include CBT-Insomnia, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Exposure therapies, and CBT for Adult ADHD.
I am a true clinician at heart and am deeply committed to understanding how to make therapy to work well for everyone, including people with ADHD. I have significant training and experience in my specialty areas and apply this knowledge both as a therapist and supervisor. The bottom line: I love what I do.

As a therapist I am thoughtful, relaxed, collaborative, and warm. I can be either direct/challenging or guiding depending on what a particular client needs. I have a big drive to learn and develop as a professional and I work hard at keeping current. And while the process of therapy is inherently about creating change, I am deeply committed to supporting this from an affirming, acceptance-based lens.

Note that while therapy should never be about the therapist for the purpose of advocacy and education I am professionally transparent about living with ADHD myself.

I give my clients the quality care and individual attention that they deserve in psychotherapy and strive toward a place of self-compassion and growth.

Therapy Spotlight: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia
Insomnia can have a powerful impact on a person’s long-term wellbeing and daily ability to function. If you are struggling with insomnia you may find that you are often concerned about the impact of sleep on your life and wellbeing. You may also find yourself engaging in creative, but often ineffective, efforts to compensate for sleep problems.

The gold-standard treatment for insomnia is a structured psychotherapy called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia, or CBT-I . CBT-I has the potential to help both long- and short-term insomnia sufferers without medication or long-term therapy. Insomnia is a treatable condition, with many clients requiring 8 or less weeks of treatment in or to regain greater quality of sleep and sense of wellbeing.

CBT-I is right for many people, including those living with other medical disorders, sleep disorders, and/or psychiatric disorders. It is important to address obstructive sleep apnea and restless legs syndrome prior to CBT-I.
